MULTI-ZONE IP PAGING ADAPTER

Item No.: NAS-8504B
Description Connection Diagram Specifications FAQs

» EASY CONFIGURATION

After connecting the paging adapter to the existing LAN/WAN network, all of the network parameters (including device ID, local IP address, subnet mask, server IP address, etc.) can be easily configured via SPON™ DevConfig Tool, no need of tricky programming.

» SEAMLESS BRIDGE TO ANALOG PA SYSTEM

SPON™ NAS-8504B multi-zone IP paging adapter provides a stereo line output (dual RCA jacks) to a traditional analog amplifier, thereby offering a seamless bridge from IP audio to a legacy analog voice paging/public address system. The line output on the paging adapter can be directly connected to the line input of any 100V constant-voltage analog amplifier with input impedence between 600Ohm to 10kOhm, meaning this device is compatible with most analog amplifiers in the market.

With the built-in digital audio decoder, the paging adapter could decode the digital audio signals from IP network to analog signals, and then transmit the decoded analog signals to a 100V constant-voltage analog amplifier via its line output, and once the analog amplifier's transformer has amplified the audio signals, the amplified signals can then be transmitted back to the paging adapter via its 100V amplifier input terminal blocks, and finally be transmitted to the connected passive speakers via its amplifier output terminal blocks with 8 configurable zoning options.

» MULTI-ZONE PAGING

With 8 configurable paging zones on the paging adapter, SPON™ NAS-8504B could eliminate the need for a legacy zone controller. In addition, there're also 8×DC 24V control relay outputs on the paging adapter (one relay for each zone). For some important scheduled or event-triggered voice announcements that need to be as loud as possible so that all the audiences can hear it clearly, after some simple setups on SPON™ XC-9000 management software, the control relay output (normally open dry contacts with DC 24V power output) could provide contact closure as well as electricity to the connected volume controller, forcibly switch the volume controller to the highest gear when these important scheduled/event-triggered voice announcement tasks are activated.

» UNIFIED COMMUNICATOIN COMPATIBILITY

If you have an existing on-premise or hosted/cloud VoIP telephone system and you'd like to use your VoIP phone to make live paging announcements to the PA system, this won't be a problem. You can simply set up an interconnection between your existing VoIP telephone system and SPON™ XC-9000 management software via SIP trunking, enabling outbound phone calls from your existing VoIP phone to SPON™ NAS-8504B IP zone paging adapter, thus to the connected analog amplifier and passive speakers.

» LIVE AND PRE-RECORDED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

You can easily make live voice announcements to the paging adapter (thus to the connected analog amplifier and passive speakers) from 3rd party VoIP telephone system, SPON™ IP paging console, headset connected to your PC/laptop (using the real-time capture & playback function of SPON™ XC-9000 management software) or even your smartphone (XC-APP Android & iOS Smartphone App).

As for making pre-recorded voice announcements, you can either choose to upload the pre-recorded voice announcement MP3/WAV audio files to the media library of SPON™ XC-9000 management software, or simply put the audio file in the USB flash drive and play the audio file on SPON™ IP paging console.

» SCHEDULED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

With the help of SPON™ XC-9000 management software, you'll be able to broadcast the right voice message at the right time.

This innovative equipment has the functionality of scheduled voice announcements, you can simply set up a scheduled voice announcement task on SPON™ XC-9000 management software (please check the detailed setup procedures as below). After the setup of the task, the corresponding pre-recorded voice announcement will be played on the paging adapter (thus to the connected analog amplifier and passive speakers) at the specified time.

» EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION ALERTING

For notification alerting of safety, security and emergency events, the activation can be realized by integrating 3rd party conventional/addressable fire alarm system into SPON™ IP PA system.

What you need to do is to wire any detection device (such as manual call point, heat/smoke/infrared detector or any other devices with contact closure relay) to the realy input (2-pin pluggable terminal block/normally open dry contact) of SPON™ NAC-5003 fire alarm interface module using 24 gauge shielded twisted pair, connect the module to the existing LAN/WAN network, and log it on SPON™ XC-9000 management software.

You can easily set up an event-triggered emergency notification task on SPON™ XC-9000 management software (please check the detailed setup procedures as below). After the setup of the task, whenever the relay input is triggered by the detection device wired to it, the task will be activated automatically and corresponding pre-recorded warning/evacuation voice announcement will be played on the paging adapter (thus to the connected analog amplifier and passive speakers).
