SPON was established by four engineers with a passion and dream for technology and invention. 2004, they pioneered IP audio technology in China, bringing it into digital language learning classrooms. It marked not just the birth of a company, but the beginning of a journey to transform how people connect through sound.
As SPON grew, the demand for more innovative audio solutions increased.This momentum marked the start of SPON’s brand journey. With our NAS series of two-way IP PA products, we not only strengthened our technical leadership but also began building SPON into a true brand.
We introduced our first internal IP intercom system. For the first time, IP PA and IP intercom came together, creating a unified way for people to communicate.
In 2009, banks were searching for smarter ways to keep customers safe. That year, SPON stepped in with a customized IP emergency call system — a lifeline for moments of crisis. For the first time, financial institutions could respond faster and communicate more securely, marking the start of a new chapter in network-based emengency intercom security.
In 2012, as the need for more space became clear, SPON acquired a new 3,000 m² office building. This expansion provided the capacity to scale up production, launch new product series, and broaden our portfolio.
By 2016, industries were asking for smarter communication tools. That year, SPON launched XCoIP, bringing cross-platform, cloud-ready, and reliable audio to life. It was more than a technology upgrade — it was a step toward making smart communication a reality.
What was once just a blueprint on paper became reality in 2017. SPON acquired 23 acres of land and built a state-of-the-art 57000+ m² industrial park. This new facility wasn’t just about size — it symbolized a leap forward. With advanced production lines dedicated to network audio, the park became the beating heart of SPON’s innovation, turning bold ideas into real products that reached the world.
SPON expanded into the world of conferencing. We introduced our IP-based conference audio system, designed not just for sound, but for smarter collaboration. With scenario-based solutions, it empowered users in meeting rooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums to connect more clearly and more intelligently.
By 2023, SPON had set its sights beyond China. With the launch of our international strategy, we stepped into the global arena, building partnerships across borders and shaping a competitive presence worldwide.
In 2024, we further strengthened our commitment to innovation by developing three core acoustic technologies — HiAT audio processing, SAT acoustic intelligence, and AiAT voice AI recognition. Together, they form a complete technical chain that drives the evolution of SPON’s intelligent audio ecosystem.
In 2025, after over 20 years of expertise in broadcast technology, SPON released Sonfidus, an internationally advanced, China-first voice alarm and evacuation system. It combines multi-protocol audio connectivity, large-matrix network routing, high reliability, outstanding stability, and exceptional energy efficiency.We will continue to innovate, delivering safer and smarter broadcast solutions.
