» EASY CONFIGURATION
 
All you need to do is connect the IP paging adapter to the existing LAN/WAN network, the device can then be configured via its own user-friendly web interface or DevConfig Tool, no need of tricky programming or cabling.


 
» INTEGRATION WITH LEGACY PAGING SYSTEM
 
The line output of XC-9603 IP paging adapter can be directly connected to the line input of any legacy analog amplifier with input impedence between 600Ohm and 10kOhm, meaning this device is compatible with most analog amplifiers in the market. The 2-pin push-in terminal block (line output) on the device is available on the IP paging adapter for easy connection to an amplifier.
 
» BUILT-IN DIGITAL AMPLIFIER
 
The built-in 2×60-watt class-D digital amplifier module of the IP paging adapter enables the device to drive up to eight 10W/8Ohm passive loudspeakers connected in series-parallel (total resistance=4Ohm). The 4-pin pluggable terminal block (amplifier output) on the device is available for direct passive loudspeaker connection.

XC-9603 IP paging adapter is compatible with standard SIP (RFC3261) protocol, it can be easily integrated into mainstream 3rd party VoIP telephone system.





» EXTERNAL MUSIC SOURCE INPUT
 
The line input (2-pin push-in terminal block) on the back panel of the device is mainly designed for monophonic local sound reinforcement, you can just connect the line output of external audio source equipment to this line input. It’s actually a very convenient feature when you want to play music directly on your laptop, smartphone or tablet and amplify the sound via the built-in digital amplifier of XC-9603.
 
» LIVE AND PRE-RECORDED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
You can easily make live voice announcements to the IP paging adapter from 3rd party VoIP telephone, SPON IP paging microphone, headset connected to your PC/laptop (using the real-time capture & playback function of XC-9000 browser-based server software) or even your smartphone (XC-APP Android & iOS Smartphone App).



As for pre-recorded voice announcements, you can either choose to uploaded the pre-recorded voice message audio file on the music library of XC-9000 server software, or simply put the file in the USB flash disk and play the file on SPON IP paging microphone.
 
» SCHEDULED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
This innovative product also has the functionality of scheduled voice announcements, you can simply set up a scheduled task (setting the trigger to be [Event] - [Timer], setting the operation to be [PA], setting the [Audio Source] to be [Speech Synthesis] and typing in certain text messages on the text box on the bottom) on XC-9000 server software.
 
After the settings of scheduled task, with the help of advanced text-to-speech technology, the text messages you input will be converted into corresponding voice messages and will be broadcasted automatically on the specified time.

 
» REAL-TIME AND TIMED MUSIC BROADCASTING
 
After registering the SIP paging adapter on XC-9000 server software, there’re four ways to initiate real-time music broadcasting:
● Play music on your PC or laptop by using the real-time capture & playback function of XC-9000 browser-based server software (the sound card of your PC/laptop must support stereophonic mixing).
● Play music on your PC or laptop by playing the pre-uploaded music files in the music library of XC-9000 browser-based server software.
● Play music on SPON IP paging microphone by playing the music files on the USB flash disk.
● Play music on SPON IP paging microphone by connecting 3rd party audio streaming device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, MP3 player, etc.) to the 3.5mm TRS line input of the paging microphone.



 
For timed music broadcasting, you can simply set up a scheduled task (setting the trigger to be [Event] - [Timer], setting the operation to be [PA], setting the [Audio Source] to be [File] and choose the corresponding pre-uploaded music file in the media library) on XC-9000 server software. After the settings of scheduled task, the designated music file will be broadcasted automatically on the specified time.

 
» OFFLINE TIMED MUSIC BROADCASTING
 
Another great feature of XC-9603 would be the offline timed music broadcasting. Considering that the network might not always be stable and in some cases the audio stream from the server might not be able to reach the endpoint, this unique feature enables you to push the preset scheduled task from XC-9000 server software to XC-9603 IP paging adapter, so that even if the network is down, the scheduled task stored in the endpoint device will still be automatically executed on the specified time.
 
» FLEXIBLE ZONE PAGING
 
A big time-saving feature of IP-based PA system is the ability to broadcast different voice announcements or music to different zones at the same time.
 
You can set up different paging zones on XC-9000 server software. You can simply add different paging adapters into the same zone and rename the zone, the zone list can be displayed on both server software and SPON IP paging microphone, and can be chosen while making paging broadcasting. Each paging adapter can be added into multiple different paging zones simultaneously.

 
» DYNAMIC VOLUME CONTROL
 
The output volume of XC-9603 IP paging adapter can be configured via web GUI or remotely adjusted by XC-9000 server software. You’ll find this feature very handy especially when the device is installed on relatively inaccessible places.
 
In addition, there’s also a built-in microphone inside of the device which can be used to monitor the background noise level, then the output volume will be automatically adjusted according to the monitored ambient noise level so as to realize continuous crystal clear voice intelligibility.
 
This unique feature is called “Ambient Noise Compensation” or “Dynamic Volume Control”, this feature helps to ensure that announcements and alerts can always be heard but never too loud.

 
» EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION ALERTING
 
For notification alerting of safety, security and emergency events, the activation can be realized by integrating 3rd party conventional/addressable fire alarm system into SPON IP paging system.
 
What you need to do is to wire any sensors (such as emergency button, infrared detector, smoke detector, etc.) to the relay inputs (3-pin push-in terminal block/normally open dry contact) of XC-9603 IP paging adapter using 22 AWG shielded twisted pair, connect the device to the existing LAN/WAN network, and log it on XC-9000 server software.



 
You can easily set up an emergency scheduled task (setting the trigger to be [Event] - [Alarm], setting the operation to be [PA], setting the [Audio Source] to be [File] and choose the corresponding pre-recorded evacuation or warning voice message audio file in the media library) on XC-9000 server software. After the settings of scheduled task, whenever any sensor is being triggered, the task will be activated and corresponding voice message will be played via the IP paging adapter to the connected legacy analog amplifier or passive loudspeakers.
