Peking University Changsha Institute of Computing and Digital Economy (CICDE) is a collaborative initiative involving Peking University, the Changsha Municipal Government, and the Management Committee of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area (Changsha High-Tech Zone). Located in Changsha, this municipal-level institution is dedicated to establishing a high-level, innovative research organization. It focuses on addressing core scientific and technological challenges and significant applied issues in advanced computing, big data, digital economy, and digital transformation.

CICDE actively attracts top talent from around the globe, engaging in both fundamental and applied research, policy analysis, talent development, technology enterprise incubation, and the creation of a robust talent hub. Additionally, CICDE aims to build an internationally influential platform, encompassing cutting-edge research, and technology transfer, thereby leading the advancement of advanced computing and the digital economy in China.

The Advanced Computing Research Center at CICDE has a mission to advance social and economic development through advanced computing technologies. It aims to overcome challenges in the field of advanced computing, develop key technologies and application software compatible with domestic hardware, build a new domestic computing application ecosystem, efficiently convert leading computing power into the ability to solve scientific and engineering problems, meet major strategic and industrial needs at the national and regional levels, and support high-quality economic and social development.

SPON has provided support for the Advanced Computing Research Center by constructing five meeting rooms, including conference speech systems, sound amplification systems, video display systems, remote video conferencing systems, and centralized control systems.
