Q1: We often have meetings where we need to control who can speak and when. Does this system offer different speaking modes to manage the flow of conversation, and can we limit the number of active microphones?
Yes, the system provides a comprehensive range of speaking modes to suit various meeting types. You can choose from:
Limited Mode: Set a maximum number of simultaneous speakers (up to 10).
Chairman Priority Mode: Only the chairman's microphone is active.
FIFO (First-In, First-Out) Mode: New speakers replace the oldest speakers once the limit is reached (the chairman is exempt from this).
Request-to-Speak Mode: Delegates request permission from the chairman, who approves or denies the request. A queue of requests is displayed.
Timed Speaking Mode: Set a time limit for each speaker; the microphone automatically deactivates after the time expires. This flexibility allows you to manage discussions effectively, whether it's a structured presentation or an open forum.
Q2: We need to integrate this system with our existing video conferencing setup and potentially control cameras. Is that possible, and what protocols does it support?
Absolutely. The system is designed for seamless integration with video conferencing and camera control. It offers several key features for this:
Bluetooth Audio Input/Output: Connect directly to PCs or mobile devices for software-based video conferencing audio.
Camera Control Protocols: Supports industry-standard protocols like Pelco-D, Pelco-P, and VISCA, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of PTZ cameras.
RS232 Control Interface: Allows connection to a central control system or direct control of an external video switching matrix. You can even customize control commands for different matrix brands.
Individual Camera Presets: You can set and adjust camera presets for each individual microphone unit (wired or wireless), enabling automatic camera switching to focus on the active speaker.
Balanced and Unbalanced Audio Outputs: XLR, 3-pin, and RCA outputs provide the necessary connections for various video conferencing and recording equipment.
Q3: Can the meeting host adjust the system parameters and view the microphone unit status in real time without dedicated software?
Absolutely. The system offers real-time control and monitoring through multiple interfaces:
WEB Interface: The web pages can be used for setting.
Wireless Access: Access parameter through phone, tablet.
Status View: The Web Interface provides an intuitive, icon-based view of all connected microphone units. You can instantly see:
Online Status: Whether each unit is connected and active.
Battery Level: (For wireless units) Remaining battery charge.
Wireless Signal Strength: (For wireless units) The quality of the wireless connection.
Microphone Control: Directly from the web interface, you can enable or disable individual microphones (mute/unmute).
