Conference System for Courtrooms
Conference System for Courtrooms
Background
The SPON conference system for courtrooms is designed to deliver clear, stable, and accurate sound during trials. It helps everyone in the courtroom — judges, lawyers, parties involved, and the public — clearly hear all spoken content, such as arguments, witness statements, evidence presentations, and verdicts. This system supports civil, criminal, and administrative cases and works well in both small and large courtrooms.
Requirements
The courtroom conferencing system required clear functionality and excellent technical performance. It needed to support high-quality sound reinforcement, record audio and archive it for legal records, and work with the video conferencing system to enable remote audio transmission. The system covered the full speech range, with a frequency response range of 80Hz to 16kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 70dB to ensure clear sound. The microphone had a high sensitivity (-36dB ±2dB) to clearly pick up speech regardless of whether the speaker was near or far. The system was designed to resist interference, operate stably even for long meetings, and be easy for court staff to operate.

Solution
During court hearings, the microphone setup is carefully planned to make sure every speaker can be heard clearly. Judges, lawyers, witnesses, and defendants all use high-quality wired microphones to ensure clear and stable sound. Jurors are provided with U-band wireless microphones, which suit their special role during the trial. These wireless mics let jurors speak freely during discussions without being limited by cables. This setup makes it easier for them to share their opinions and take part in communication inside the jury box.
