Conference System for lecture halls
Conference System for lecture halls
Background
Lecture halls are built for sharing knowledge, hosting talks, presentations, and academic discussions. However, these spaces are often large, filled with people, and have complex building layouts. That makes it hard to deliver clear and even sound to everyone. A professional conference sound system helps fix this. With the right setup, sound can cover the whole room evenly, making it easier for everyone to hear and focus.
Requirements
  •  Full Coverage Sound
First, the system must fill the entire hall with sound. Every seat—from the front row to the very back—should receive the same volume and clarity. This ensures that no part of the audience misses out on important information.
  • Multiple Audio Inputs
To support different types of events, the system should handle many audio sources. It needs to work with both wired and wireless microphones (like handheld or headset mics), as well as audio from computers, smartphones, or video conferencing platforms.
  • Clear Voice Output
Once the audio is in, it must come out clearly. The system should focus on the speech frequency range (200Hz to 4kHz), which makes human voices easier to understand. At the same time, it should reduce background noise like air conditioners, footsteps, or unwanted feedback.
  • High-Quality Audio Performance
To make this happen, the system must deliver professional-grade sound. A good system has a frequency range of 80Hz to 18kHz (±3dB), total harmonic distortion (THD) under 0.5%, and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 70dB or higher—this means cleaner, clearer audio with very little unwanted sound.
  • Stable Wireless Transmission
Wireless microphones are a must in large halls. The system should allow a range of at least 50 meters and work smoothly even when surrounded by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signals. Dropouts should be rare—ideally less than 0.1 times per hour.
  • Fast Response and Low Delay
Time matters too. The system must have a delay of less than 15 milliseconds, so the sound stays in sync with video or live actions. Also, microphones should be ready to use within 3 seconds of turning on—no waiting around.
  • Easy Operation
Not every event has a tech expert on hand. That’s why the system needs a simple control panel, with preset scenes for quick setup.
  • Security and Integration
Finally, the system must be safe and work well with other system. It should include lightning, and surge protection. And it can connect smoothly with video conferencing, recording, and central control systems.
Design
Mixer as the core processing center, receive audio signals from condenser microphone (fixed on the podium, capture the speaker's voice), U section handheld microphone (for the speaker to use when walking) and U section headset microphone (free hands, suitable for long speeches or more physical action scenes), through the wireless receiver U section microphone signal transmission to the mixer; mixing console on the multi-channel audio source for mixing, equalization and volume control After mixing, equalizing and controlling the volume of multiple audio sources, the mixing console outputs to the amplifier to drive the speakers to cover the whole field, and at the same time, it supports the superimposed playback of background music or video sound effects, realizing the unification of clear sound coverage, flexible interaction and professional sound reinforcement.
  • SAP-F88 Digital Audio Processor
8-input and 8-output audio processor, supports amplification, mixing, equalization, compression, limiting, delay and other processing of audio signals to optimize the audio quality and meet the sound needs of different scenes.
  • SAP-Q10
Configuration of 4 SAP-Q10 main speaker, with 4 SAP-QZ bracket for wall mounting, using two dual-channel amplifier SAP-5402A50 for driving.
  • SAP-F1608S
SAP-F1608S 16-Channel Digital Mixing Console: Receive and integrate the input signals from all audio sources (microphone, computer, cell phone, etc.), and unify the control of volume, timbre and mixing ratio.
  • LCS-2340A
LCS-2340A Handheld UHF Microphone and LCS-2340B Lavalier UHF Microphone: Allow meeting participants to move freely within a certain range and clearly pick up and transmit sound signals with SAP-ZQS20 Active Directional Antenna and SAP-ANT20 UHF Waveguide. SAP-ZQS20 Active Directional Antenna and SAP-ANT20 UHF Wideband Antenna Distributor for more stable signal reception.
  • LCS-5303Z-L
LCS-5303Z-L 48V Wired professional conference microphone: Used for speaker's presentation.
Advantages

 Even Sound Everywhere
The mix of power amplifiers and well-placed speakers means even people in the back rows hear clearly.

Freedom to Move
Handheld UHF mics let presenters walk around freely. Headset mics free up hands for expressive gestures.

Quick Q&A Setup
Wireless mics can be passed around easily for audience questions—no need for cables.

One-Touch Scene Switching
Mixer can switch between modes for speeches, or small performances—saving setup time.

Fast Issue Control
Wireless mics pair instantly. The mixer has built-in anti-feedback presets, so tech staff can react fast to issues.

Great Sound
High-fidelity audio and smart noise control keep the focus on the speaker, the audience to immerse themselves in the content.
